My ring came from... non other than....(drumroll please)....Walmart!
For $8.00 (and something cents), you can have one too!
Not long ago I was at Walmart with my daughter and we decided to take a look at the jewelry. It was then that I saw it, on the little round kiosk~ and thought, "THat looks vintage and is the most beautiful ring!" I couldn't justify buying it, so I told my daughter to use my phone right then and there to call her dad to tell him that she had found what I wanted for my birthday! I prompted her with all the details! (she had to leave him a voicemail).
A week or two later as I climbed into bed, there was the ring on my pillow! It was attached to the cutest hand written note from my husband and daughter. And the best part was, it wasn't even my birthday!
If you do stop in at "Wal (star) mart" (as my husband refers to it), and you like bacon but hate to cook it, here is a great little bacon cooking gadget that they have there. I used it this morning, and I love it. You stick it in the microwave for a few minutes (unlike the photo on the box, I cook just four strips at a time draped over all three "T"'s) and then pour out the grease that collects at the bottom of the plastic bowl. And it is dishwasher safe. There is a gift idea for you!

I totally knew that was a Wal-Mart ring because I saw the same one and thought the same thing! You've got such a sweet hubby and daughter :)
ReplyDeletei have had this micro bacon thingy for years and years.....i should get a new 1 just cause mine is old but hey still does my bacon nice and crispy!!
