photo tips part 2

So, I took those cute little photos of  my kids that I shared with you yesterday, and I edited them in Picasa.  You can download Picasa for free, or use whatever photo editing program you like, such as Picnik.  I changed them to black and white and added contrast.  I usually click on "auto contrast" when I edit my photos.  Then I lighten them a bit, and crop them to my liking.  (Of course it depends on the photo, but that is what I seem to do most of the time).

Next, I opened them in Photoshop, and adjusted the sizing to 2  1/2" x 2 1/2" so that I  could fit them into these cute little round, distressed frames that I picked up at a yard sale for a dollar!  I printed them with my printer on photo paper from the Dollar Tree.  My local Dollar Tree has little round frames also, if you are looking for some.  They are very similar, except white.  You could leave them or paint them with a little craft paint and lightly sand if you want a distressed look.




I found these mounting pads at the Dollar Tree also.  Since I didn't want to put holes in my cupboard, I put a big old piece of these mounting strips on the back of each one.  Make sure it is a big enough piece to handle the weight of your frame.



I like having a sweet reminder of my little ones every time I walk past this previously unused cabinet space!
