However, I really wanted some to decorate with (not to carve) and decided to see if they would go on sale after Halloween.
Sure enough, they did. I got several of them for 75% off. If I remember correctly, it came to 7 or 8 dollars a pumpkin. The great part was (as you see in the photo below), I used them in decorating for Thanksgiving that year and they looked beautiful! (more on that later).
This year they are less expensive! I just checked here at Jo-Ann's online. You can buy the 10" ones on sale for $11.99 from $19.99! And they have white ones! I'm not sure if the online price is the same as in the store or not though.
They must be popular, because now I see them everywhere. These are from Hobby Lobby...
I think this was close to the10" size. It is actually 50% off the $27.99 this week.
Walmart also has these smaller ones that I like for only $5... (by the way, notice the tag says Better Homes and Gardens. I'm glad they hooked up with Walmart-I like a lot of their stuff. Not all of it, but a lot of it)
Then I was surprised to see these even smaller ones at the Dollar Tree!...
My favorites are still the bigger funkins ones, but depending on your project or how you plan to display them, these dollar tree ones look pretty nice to me!

ReplyDeleteI had no idea those fake pumpkins cost that much! No wonder I don't have any...although I will go check out Dollar Tree. Your mantel looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhere have I been? I've never heard of a faux pumpkin you can actually carve. I must check these out. Thanks for sharing.
