I have always wanted to see Princeton~especially in the fall. We took a family day trip there this weekend, and the architecture was even more amazing than I had imagined! I took lots of pictures to share with you. I didn't even see it all~I'll have to go back! Here we go...
Princeton University, home of the Tigers and founded in 1746, is one of 8 universities in the Ivy League and one of the nine colonial colleges founded before the American Revolution. Tuition for the 2010-2011 school year? It will be approximately $50,000!
First stop, the art museum. It seems as if each class (including 2010) has an engraved marker with their class year on it on the building with ivy growing around it. ~ starting from at least the early 1800's. Pretty cool.
The auditorium...
(oops this one is not the auditorium, but isn't it beautiful?)
auditorium continued...
The dorms...
I almost wished for a moment that I was back in school!
I love the chunky slate roofs
beautiful windows
I was a picture taking fool. I would love to post more, but I better stop! Sometime I'll show you the fantastic shopping and eateries around the university also in case you decide to visit Princeton. Our sightseeing ended with a trip to the "House of Cupcakes" for hot chocolate! Have a marvelous Monday!
LOVE LOVE the pictures. I actually live about 40 mins from Princeton!
