Here is a fabulously fast $1 Halloween project that I created!
Here are the easy instructions...
I picked up this wooden sign from dollar tree (complete with twine to hang it!), and turned it over to use the back. The back side was already painted white, so I didn't have to do anything with it.
I then created the following sign and printed it. Simply copy and paste it into microsoft word and enlarge it to fill up the whole page before you print it.
The crow can be found here at bird clipart.com and then printed.
I cut out the bird, centered it, and glued it with glue stick to the top of the board. Then I glued the parking sign below it.
I used a brown paper lunch bag to make a rosette to hot glue to the corner. This only takes a couple of minutes to make~ but I included lots of photos to make it super easy to follow.
cut down the center seam...
cut off the bottom of the bag and open it up.
fold down about 2 1/2 inches from the top and cut along the edge you just created. (not the fold)
tear about 1/4" inch along the edges you just cut
Starting at one end, roll a few times
pinch and twist the bottom
make "fan" folds (about 1") along the rest of the strip
curve the edge of the strip every inch or so and pinch tightly to the bottom
Wallah! There you have a brown paper flower to hot glue to your sign. You might need to play with it a little and even squish it! Don't worry-it's not supposed to be perfect. You could probably even crumple it up and stick it on there and it would still look good! Think of the possiblities of these flowers...hmmm maybe I will make a wreath with BIG grocery sack (or brown craft paper) flowers!
I'm linking up to Shabby Nest and Just a Girl today!
Also...Jen's weeked wrap up party! at tatertots and jello~
