on top of my armoire.
Both of the baskets that I put them in came from a farm auction that I went to this summer. It was the first auction I had ever been to, and it was a good one! I know I didn't pay more than a dollar for each of the baskets. The greenery in the terra cotta pot came from Hobby Lobby long ago (I'm sure I bought it when it was 50% off just like I did these here).
I tore out the clipping below from a pottery barn catalog a while ago, because I love the combination of the green walls with the rich brown wood of the armoire. Luckily, we got a deep discount on our armoire after Christmas one year at a Pottery Barn outlet (I would never pay full price otherwise). Then I copied the magazine photo and painted the wall green. Amazingly, I was able to paint the whole wall with just under one quart of Sherwin-William's "sample size" of paint! Of course there is a fireplace in the middle of the wall, so that helped. But still, I squeezed every little bit out of that tiny little container! The color is Melange Green.
Back to the amazing pine cones! They were found here...

ReplyDeleteSO pretty!!! I love pinecones, they're so naturally beautiful and look wonderful in your auction baskets. I have been to see the big giant redwood trees and they really blew me away. They are HUGe and magical and if you get the chance to go there, you should! I went as a child many times and can't wait to bring my little ones when they're a bit older. Love your blog! Happy weekend to ya :)
