more holiday shop items

After weeks of creating inexpensive gift items for the elementary school's holiday shop, I am finally DONE! (To view some of the things that I have recently made, click here  and here).   As I neared the end of my "crafting madness", I realized more things that I could make with my extra supplies.  Among other things, I still had some felt, hair clips, and ribbon, so I got busy and worked a little harder.  (see below)  I cut felt petals and leaves, and then glued them to pins and hair clips.  I found a pretty satin ribbon, rolled it up, and hot glued it to the center of the flower.

I used the same ribbon to make a loop, and then put a felt flower on top of it.  Then I glued a little silver sequin from my daughter's sequin stash.

I painted gingerbread men on some little canvases about 2"x3".  Then I tied red striped candy cane ribbon into a bow and stapled it to the back.  These little guys can be hung on the Christmas tree, or pinned up on the wall.

I haven't uploaded all of my photos yet, so I have more little gifts to share next week.  I love trying to dream up new creations~ I rarely make the same thing more than once, because I find that the thrill is in dreaming up new ideas.  My sister in law was here over Thanksgiving and she taught me how to make the cutest little vintage snowman.  He is made out of clay, so hopefully you will get to meet him soon~when he is all dry and spruced up!

  3. Your pins are so pretty. They have so much dimension. I would wear them on my jacket or pinned to my purse.
