Before the After...Part 1
It's only Halloween, and already I am looking out the window at the enormous snow fort and snowman that my kids made over the weekend! We had an incredible snow storm this weekend...with lots of downed trees and widespread power outages in the area. I'm so grateful that we have heat!
I thought I would tell you about one of my more recent little projects. I picked up this little vintage desk and chair at a yard sale over the summer. It was at an estate sale and I was practically begged to take it away for free! It has been sitting in my basement, waiting to be made over. I finally found the perfect little spot for it in the kitchen.
I don't have much patience when it comes to painting furniture anymore, so I try to make the process as pain free as possible. For this project, I quickly scattered newspaper under the desk and chair, hauled up some old primer from my basement and brushed that primer on as quickly as I could-right then and there-in the kitchen! My kids are so good about avoiding my projects... they really have to be so careful and watch their steps if they don't want to end up painted!
Stay tuned for the results, as well as the little kitchen corner makeover........... :)

We had some snow too last Wednesday. Looks like more is on its way this Wednesday. I do love it, but love it more when I am stuck at home with the family warm and cozy with a good movie and a cup of coffee :-)
