oh the madness...

I thought I would share a little of my crafting madness from Saturday.  I literally sat on the floor the whole day.  I don't know why, but I have never been able to sit at a table to create.  I always end up on the floor.  My kids couldn't even come into the room.  Not because I didn't want them to, but because there was no place for them to walk. I had glue guns, beads, ribbon, and tags flying everywhere.  What is really sad is that my husband was going to take me out for my birthday dinner that night, and I wouldn't even allow myself to stop until it was ALL done, which by then I was too tired to go.  So now you know the extent of my madness~though I did make it to the table for the birthday cake that they made for me!)

I had to keep my costs down, so I scoured my house for extra supplies.  First up, remember the red, beaded Christmas tree garland that I turned into a necklace here?  Well, I used the rest to make bracelets, and tied them with red velvet ribbon from my ribbon stash.

Next I made wands.  I bought the craft foam and the glitter, but the dowels were leftover from the Mayflower and the caramel apples!  Notice the greenery that I stuck them in.  It is some of the leftover $1 Christmas tree garland that I made the snow queen's wreath out of!  I used the rest of the garland to make a bunch of miniature wreath tree ornaments.

After the wands, I had a lot of scraps, and realized that I could make girl's hair clips.  I had a ton of  little silver clips from when I used to make bows for my daughter's hair. There are so many clips that come in a package, that when I bought it, I hardly made a dent in it.  I had one twelve inch strip of green gingham ribbon~just enough to make all the "leaves".

A bunch of dollar store frames (that I already had) turned into this~about twelve of them!

I have pins and necklaces to share, but for some reason the photos won't load, so I'll show you those tomorrow.  Happy Tuesday!

  1. Those are adorable, I'm sure that they will be snatched up in the shop.

By the way, I also end up on the floor, or at the coffee table or any other place than the desk in my craft room!
