Recently I was asked to paint a set of customized canvases for a little girl's bedroom. The set would compliment her new bedding from Pottery Barn Teen as seen below.
So I painted the girl silhouette with the word power like the pillow above on a 12x16" canvas. I did the background bubblegum pink, and the silhouette and word white. Then I painted the "heart world" in a light blue/turquoise mix with apple green, and a pink outline on a 12x12 canvas. (All canvases from Hobby Lobby)
The peace sign was also done on 12x12" canvas with the same colors. She wanted a daisy in there, so I painted one in the middle of the peace sign and added an orange center. These colors remind me so much of my 1970's daisy wall paper growing up! I was so sad to move when I turned 12, that my mom actually took down some of the wallpaper from my bedroom to put in my scrapbook before we left! I have always loved it!
PEACE!
This is Uncle Dick,Robyn. I'll take one of everything on your post! Enjoyed looking at it, hugs to the kids
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Robyn! I like it all. And it definately did bring on memories of your wallpaper when you were little. Mom
ReplyDeleteThey go so well with the bedding, how perfect for a teenager. Love that bedding too, Pottery Barn Teen has the greatest catalog, my girls love looking through it.
