I heard a knock on the door today...

and when I opened it up, Spring was there to greet me!  She said she was coming weeks ago, and she finally did!  She brought me some daffodils and grape hyacinth, warm sunshine, and long grass.  Her birds are hopping around my yard with twigs in their mouths, and the tulips are pushing up through the soil.

In the sadness of recent events around the globe occurring in such places like Japan and Africa, I wanted to write about the good news that is on the horizon.  Jesus Christ broke the bands of death!  The grave will have no victory!  For all of us who have ever lost a loved one, and know that we personally will one day face death, could there really be any better news?  We will live again, just as Jesus Christ does!  I know this is true.

"And if Christ had not risen from the dead, or have broken the bands of death that the grave should have no victory, and that death should have no sting, there could have been no resurrection.  But there is a resurrection, therefore the grave hath no victory, and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ.  He is the light and the life of the world; yea, a light that is endless that can never be darkened; yea, and also a life which is endless, that there can be no more death."
