I was wishing I had another long folding table for an outdoor summer party when I hit the jackpot! I was driving past a house that had a couple of sturdy, long, rectangular, elementary school tables at the end of their driveway. Next to the tables were the metal school chairs that went with them! There were large chairs, and cute little chairs...at least 20 in all. I pulled over and asked the home owner if they were for sale. "No" he said..."They're FREE!" He just wanted to get rid of them. So as quickly as I could, I dropped my kids off at home, and brought my van back over to load up! Within a couple of trips, they were mine! I taped off the wooden seats with some butcher paper, and then I sprayed them with Krylon Indoor/Outdoor Gloss spray paint in CHERRY RED! The metal was that boring tan/ bronze like school chair color.
We were ready to party! I covered the tables with vintage sheets and linens (see above photo), centered mason jars filled with sand and a votive candle, and pulled up my cherry red chairs!
With the trampoline all decked out...and fun cowboy plates from Hobby Lobby...
It looked really cute, and all on a budget!
