Ballard Designs Inspired Art

If I could choose one shop that has most inspired how I decorate my home, it would have to be Ballard Designs.  From my black and cream ticking curtains (and gingham ones too) to my color palette of black and white with touches of light blue and green and French accent pieces in between, it is the clean, elegant, streamlined look that I am always drawn to.

In their latest catalogue,  I noticed this kitchen mat.  I liked the idea enough to transfer the kitchen conversion chart to a chalk board that I made from a yard sale frame.

Not only is it fun, but functional too, in case I forget my conversions while I'm baking!  :)
