$5 burlap bulletin board
Are you looking for a fun, yet decorative way to get organized? How about making an inexpensive burlap bulletin board? If you don't have one already, check your local thrift stores for an old frame. (I have a collection of nearly free frames from summer yard sales). I think they are a good thing to stock up on, because you never know when you might need one for a quick project!
Give it a quick coat of paint (I chose cream). You can brush it on, or use spray paint.
You will need a piece of large foam board from a craft store, as well as a piece of burlap a few inches larger than the frame. After measuring the foam board to the dimensions to fit inside the frame (where the glass would usually go), cut it out with a craft knife.
Wrap the burlap around the board, and lay it flat on the ground. Pulling gently, to keep the fabric taut, hot glue the edges of the burlap down. Then pop it in the frame.
And that is it! Stand back and admire your decorative bulletin board that you would have paid lots of money for if you had purchased one instead of making your own!

Very classy looking! And, I find that I can never have too many pin boards -- there is always something that I want to hang up to inspire or remind me.
