To paint, or not to paint?

Happy Valentine's Day!  I'm not so sure that I believe in global warming.  :) It seems like global freezing over here.  While I shoveled snow this morning, my neighbor said they reported 19 inches at the airport, and three more inches expected tonight.  (that is in addition to what we had the other day)  With President's Day on Monday and being off both Thursday and Friday, the kids have a five day weekend.  I decided to forgo the treadmill this morning, because I knew I would get plenty of exercise.  :)  I got to the point where I didn't know where to put the snow anymore!  I'm just grateful that my shovel has survived all these snow storms, and that the sun came out to melt what was left of the ice underneath.

Happy Valentine's Day!  My daughter and I received a thoughtful gift from my husband this morning.  We went to see Wicked over Christmas break and thoroughly enjoyed it.  I had wanted to see it for years.  Today, he gave us the CD from the musical...all wrapped up in red and white.  I really appreciate meaningful gifts~especially those tied to fond memories!  Have a beautiful day~

How to make the Love sign~

On Saturday, I mentioned how I am busily stocking my etsy shop.  While I have lots more fun things to list, the latest addition was this distressed love sign.  It is the perfect decoration for Valentine's Day!  Feeling crafty?  For all you DIYers, I would love to show you how I made it, so that you can make your own!  It was a lot of fun to make, and really quite simple.

Valentine’s decorating continued…

I don’t buy tchotchkes...

...but I couldn't resist this little vintage valentine girl!  She found her way to my kitchen windowsill, and I love her...all 47 cents of her.  I found her hanging out with all the other ceramics at the thrift store that I usually pass right on by.  I especially love her scratched up heart.  I think she was well loved by someone before me.  :)
